chan Yesterday was SYF rehearsal, i rushed back from Bintan at 8.30 AM (Bintan time) to Singapore and reached at 10.30am(SINGAPORE TIME), then took taxi to white sands get my black shoes, then went for lunch and back home to change. So rush! I barely had time to close my eyes and relax... We had to practice till 4.30pm then had lunch + move instruments + change clothes. Something very weird happened... V.ANG say no need move timpani and vibraphone but liu bin say need, so we listened to the conductor and moved the timpani and vibraphone. Then 10mins before assembling at the Foyer, we overheard v.ang and liu bin quarreling over the timpani/vibraphone issue and quan yu asked them whether need timpani. V.Ang say no need, thus we told a few people and unloaded the timpani. Several seconds later, GW and Wan Qi came and said "NEED TIMPANI AND VIBRAPHONE!", so we loaded it back up. When we reached S.C.H v.ang was furious and demanded an explanation by alison, and obviously alison told her the whole story but ended up getting a lashing anyway....

Does it matter since we already brought the timpani to S.C.H? Why ruin everyone's mood by making alison cry which will lead to more stress, subsequently.... but rehearsal was ok-ok... I screwed the first part of chang ge but picked up the tempo after a while... 15mins before our rehearsal ended, liu bin asked team B to play. Alison was playing timpani for team B... they practiced chang ge and she was quite okay except for rolling but when it was her turn to play fei tian, about 10-20 bars before her turn, the guy came up and said "Your rehearsal time is up!" and she was like "HENG!!". Can't believe man she was so lucky......

AND... chee yan actually believed that SMORFS existed ( the blue little people ). One of his friends told him that many years ago, humans trampled on smorfs and after some time, they became extinct and he actually bought that story. lol..
